The trumpet sound used for years to signal arrivals on time, has gone – and is replaced by a more polished fanfare with the accompanying message that the airline gets 90% of its flights to their destinations on time. The change has come about after the low-budget airline held a Twitter poll which showed travellers wanted an end of the original trumpet sound.

Ryanair says it is part of their ‘Always Getting Better’ campaign which has seen several changes including the dropping of its bikini-clad calendar, and the revamp of its planes’ internal yellow colouring. The Irish Independent reports that this will be replace by more blue tones.
