The stars of the bloodthirsty fantasy hit will walk the red carpet at the famous fortress in the heart of London next month.

It is the first time the show, which already has four hit seasons behind it, has premiered in Europe.

Zai Bennett, the director of Sky Atlantic which broadcasts the show, said: “Game of Thrones is the must see show of the year and a massive show for Sky Atlantic so I am delighted we will be hosting the World Premiere for this epic show at the Tower of London. I can’t think of a more fitting venue to give what promises to be another unmissable series its big launch.”

The fantasy drama – based on the books by George RR Martin – has made stars of its cast including Peter Dinklage, Natalie Dormer and Kit Harington.

Ravens play a vital part in the show as characters use them to carry messages across the fictional land of Westeros and a three-eyed raven is one of the show’s recurring characters.

The eagerly-awaited fifth series will be screened in the UK from 13 April.
