The Turin Shroud has been put on display in the city’s Cattedrale di San Giovanni Battista for the first time in five years. Visitors wishing to see the holy shroud in person can reserve a free ticket online at www.sindone.org, although spaces are limited as over one million people have already booked. The exhibition, which includes a replica shroud as well as the original, is open until 24 June, and will be visited by the Pope on 20-21 June. Read more: thelocal.it
