Polish sportsman and explorer Marcin Gienieczko has set off on a solo journey across South America, which includes a 750 km bike ride through the Andes and a 6000 km canoe ride down the Amazon River. Gienieczko hopes to raise money to buy an ambulance for a children’s hospice with the expedition and has been preparing for the trip for two years by learning how to identify edible plants and fruits and how to build a camp in the jungle.
