Air travellers in India are set to reap a fare bonanza as troubled airline Spicejet drops prices on key routes to lower than the equivalent air-con train fare. Tickets on routes such as Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Delhi to Dehradun, Guwahati to Kolkata, Ahmedabad to Mumbai, and Bangalore to Hyderabad are priced at Rs 599, equivalent to less than US$10, and less than the AC-class train fare on the same routes.
