On January 16, the Thousand Polleras Parade will take place in Las Tablas, Panama – thousands of women will participate in the elaborate celebration of the the nation’s traditional dress, and this year, organizers have a new goal in mind: break the Guinness World record for the number of participating “polleras” at a single event.
Last year around 15,000 people participated in the parade, and that number is expected to rise this year, as the event tries to obtain the Guinness record title.
