Panama City Beach bans drinking on the beach during Spring Break

The city council for Panama City Beach has approved a ban on drinking on the beach during the month of March in an attempt to combat unruly behaviour by college students on Spring Break. This year, seven Spring Breakers were shot during a party in the city, and there was also an alleged sexual assault on the beach behind a popular Spring Break nightclub. The city is considering other measures to crack down on the rowdiness and restore the city’s image. Read more: nytimes.com
