Outlaw tuk-tuks to become legal Phuket Town cabs

Tuk-tuks are to become legal in Phuket again, but they will be confined to Phuket Town. The base fare for a ride in the three-wheeled vehicles, which must have their roofs painted yellow, will be 20 baht per passenger. The deal has reportedly angered some drivers, who would prefer to operate in the island’s tourist centre of Patong. Read more: phuketwan.com
