A cliff collapse in Point Reyes National Seashore at the weekend left one hiker dead and another seriously injured. Authorities had posted signs last week along the popular trail to Arch Rock warning people to avoid the area because of a crack in the rock above the pathway. The warnings were ignored by many though and on late Saturday the cliff collapsed, dragging down the two hikers and burying them in rocks. The whole area has now been sealed off.
