London is getting a cafe specialising in Cadbury’s Crème Eggs. The chocolate fondant eggs are only sold between Christmas and Easter, when they are the most popular item of confectionary in the UK, with Cadbury’s Birmingham factory producing 1.5 million a day.
The menu includes Crème Egg tray bake, Crème Egg with strawberries and a Crème Egg toastie, and the Soho pop-up will also offer an “interactive ball pit”. The eggs were recently the subject of criticism when it emerged that their chocolate casing had been changed to a cheaper variety. The cafe is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 22 January to 6 March, and booking is advised. Read more: Londonist.com
