Navy hospital ship collides with USS Arizona Memorial

The USS Arizona Memorial will be closed for several days after a navy hospital ship struck the memorial’s dock on Wednesday as it left Pearl Harbor. A memorial spokesperson said a section of the dock leading to the memorial was damaged by the collision. The USNS Mercy, a naval ship designed to respond to natural disasters around the world, was in the area as part of a humanitarian assistance program in the Pacific Ocean. Read more: staradvertiser.com
