You can see ‘The Nutcracker’ in Nashville as you’ve never seen it before — carved out of ice! The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville has a special holiday exhibit, called ICE!, that features scenes from the iconic ballet completely carved out of ice.
Forty ice artists from Harbin, China (famous for its winter festivals) have created intricately carved and decorated sculptures, ranging from graceful ballerinas to toy soldiers to candy canes. There are also ice slides that are more than two stories tall and an area where you can watch the ice sculptors at work. The show runs until 2 January. Read more at: latimes.com
