Two of the three Spanish cavers who were trapped in a ravine in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains have died, while the third has been rescued and remains in a stable condition. The three broke away from the rest of their group while on an expedition near Ouarzazate. Spanish cavers have criticised Moroccan authorities for a ‘sluggish’ response and being ill-equipped to deal with the emergency.
