Over 5000 young Irish people were making music this St Patrick’s Day at the world famous Feis Ceoil in Dublin rather than marching in a parade.
Over eleven days 180 individual music competitions are taking place at the ESB Feis Ceoil at the RDS, Dublin.
More than half-a-million musicians have taken part in the annual competition since it began in 1896. According to RTE.ie they include James Joyce and Count John McCormack. Read more: rte.ie
