Montmartre bakery, Grenier à Pain, has officially been named as bakers of the best baguette in Paris after it beat 231 entries for the annual prize. This is the second time the French baker of Senegalese origin, Djibril Bodian, has won the prize, which includes the honour of baking for the presidential Elysée palace each day for the next year, as well as €4000 in cash. Every baker in the city is invited to enter the competition where strict rules state that the baguettes must weigh between 250 and 300 grammes, and be between 55 and 65 centimetres in length.
