Miami Beach sign sends mixed messages to tourists

Visitors to Miami Beach were receiving a less than warm welcome on Tuesday when a flashing sign along the Julia Tuttle Causeway started malfunctioning. For a short period the sign read ‘Welcome Visitors! Prohibited’. The sign was supposed to read ‘Welcome visitors! Prohibited on the beach: glass, metal, alcohol and Styrofoam’. City officials quickly removed the sign and apologised for the unfriendly message. Read more: nytimes.com
