Message in a bottle finds its way from Tasmania to Turkey – and back

A message in a bottle released in Surveyors Bay, south of Hobart, by a young boy in mid-February has been returned all the way from Istanbul. The small vanilla extract bottle containing 9-year-old Joshua Manning’s name, age and address was reportedly found in Istanbul on 16 April, and posted back to him along with a hand-drawn map of its presumed journey from Australia. Little is known about the sender, who did not supply a return address. Read more: abc.net.au
