A man-eating tiger has been shot dead by forestry guards in the Indian state of Kerala after killing two people in the last two weeks. More than 100 guards were involved in the hunt, before the tiger was tracked down in Gudalur forest and shot after attacking a forestry patrol. Tiger numbers in India are rising according to the latest tiger census and the animals are increasingly coming into contact with humans. Read more: bbc.co.uk
