Tourists headed to the popular beach resorts of Redang and Perhentian in the peninsular Malaysia state of Terengganu will now have to dress ‘decently’, or risk legal action. Authorities in the rural, conservative east coast state will reportedly release a specific set of dress code guidelines to Malaysian travel agents and tourism offices in neighbouring countries before the ruling, which locals must also abide by, is implemented.
