Malaysia’s tourism minister appealed to Kuala Lumpur taxi drivers to stop overcharging tourists upon the launch of a new app that allows users to book fixed-rate cabs from anywhere in the peninsula to KL airport. CAB2klia’s fleet of taxis offer fixed fares regardless of traffic conditions and routes taken by the driver. It’s hoped the initiative will minimise the ‘damage’ to KL’s tourism potential caused by rogue drivers who haggle with visitors. Read more: thestar.com.my
