London Paramount Entertainment Resort has been billed as the UK’s answer to Disneyland parks and will focus on attractions that are themed around Paramount films and BBC shows.

The resort will be located on banks of the Thames in North Kent on the outskirts of London, reportedly on a site as large as 388 acres, according to the Evening Standard. The park is expected to receive 15 million visitors per year once it is established.

According to the website, the resort will contain “a number of themed zones, with exciting rides and attractions for families, children and the more adventurous thrill-seeking visitor”.

The resort will have cafes, bars, restaurants and in the evenings “there will be a chance to enjoy a West End quality production at one of our theatres, indoor or outdoor venues. These venues could potentially showcase Paramount films, BBC and Aardman productions and provide a stage for live comedy acts and concerts”. Some of Paramount’s highest grossing films include Titanic, Transformers, Iron Man and Star Trek.

The resort is expected to open to the public in 2021, with more rides and attractions opening in later years.
