The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, has declared plans to waive all visa fees for children under the age of 16 in a move to woo more foreign families into the country.

Single- and multiple-entry visas are currently charged at US$50 and US$100 respectively, regardless of age. The change is expected to be implemented by February. The president also announced that National Park fees in the country would drop from US$90 to US$60 – it’s not clear when this price change will take place.
