Bus services between the Indian and Pakistan parts of Kashmir have been halted over allegations that drivers were using the buses as a cover for smuggling opium into India. Trade across the border was also halted because of the row. While mainly used by Indian and Pakistani travellers, the bus services were hailed as a sign of improving relations between India and Pakistan, but recent months have seen waves of cross border attacks and reprisals.
