International Yoga Day may only be in its second year but – much like the practice itself – it’s popularity is spreading throughout the globe.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had the idea originally so it’s no surprise that it’s become a huge event all over India. With United Nations endorsing the day it’s become a change for flexible yogis to practice in the most unusual places.

Despite their wintry weather, Aussies have embraced World Yoga Day in a big way with free events at the Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach.
