On the 15th of March the anniversary of the 1848-49 Hungarian revolution will be marked across the country with various events. The official programme will take place in Budapest, where a visit to the Parliament will be free on Saturday. Nearly 400 towns and villages will take part in a mass recital of the poem that is believed to have inspired the revolution – the National Song by Sándor Petőfi – at 3pm on Sunday.
