Seattle’s weird and wonderful gum wall was given a deep clean this week, much to the dismay of all who love the colourful and slightly disgusting local point of interest. The wall, near Pike Place market, has been washed totally clean for the first time in 20 years. While there was an estimated 1 million pieces of gum on the wall, it likely won’t be long until dedicated visitors start to built up the icon once again.
