The state of emergency in Bulgaria due to snowstorms has entered the third consecutive day. In the south of the country the snowfall has reached 1.5m, many villages have no electricity or access to food and water, and some schools are closed. There are also roadblocks and telecommunications disruptions, and several rivers are reaching critical levels. The snow and rain are predicted to continue throughout the country.
