Greece launches first EU-certified hiking trail in the Peloponnese

A new hiking trail in the Peloponnese will be launched on 30 May. The Menalon Trail will be included in the ‘Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe’ by the European Ramblers Association. It’s a 75km footpath through the Lousios River gorge, the western slopes of Mt Menalon, the Mylaon River valley and a number of traditional villages. It was created by volunteers from Eastern Gortynia and the Arcadian Mountaineers and Ecologists Club. Read more: news.gtp.gr
