Grand Ole Opry House added to National Register of Historic Places

Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House, actually the sixth home of the famous weekly country music radio show – the Grand Ole Opry – has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. The house was constructed in 1972-74 and, at the time, was the largest broadcast studio in the world. The announcement means the building will be preserved as a cultural resource.
