Vertigo sufferers look away now: as part of its revamp, the U.S. Bank Tower, LA’s tallest skyscraper and the highest building west of the Mississippi, is opening a see-through slide this summer – 1000ft above the ground.

Just 1.25in of glass will separate riders from the outside as they slide between the 70th and 69th floors of the building. Those brave enough to venture onto the Skyslide will be rewarded with far-reaching views of the city and off-shore Channel Islands –notorious  LA smog permitting. Read more: nytimes.com
