Finding the perfect job can be tricky, with opportunities that marry together the right skills and benefits proving rare. But hope is not lost, as a US-based restaurant has just announced that it is on the hunt for Chief Taco Officer to take to the road for an epic food-fuelled trip across the country.
Launched by Moe’s Southwest Grill, the two-week position will see one successful candidate taking on the role of CTO to help promote a new menu item, the Three Amigos Taco. In addition to taking a two-week, twelve-city taco tour across the United States in June that starts in Atlanta, the successful applicant will receive a number of perks, including a US$1000 (€814) budget, a specialist uniform, and all the tacos that they can eat. Created in collaboration with Monster.com, the posting calls for a taco fanatic with a good sense of humour, with sarcasm proving to be an added benefit, as well as social media savviness. The successful applicant must be available to join the taco truck for up to two weeks this summer.
“At Moe’s, we’re always looking for ways to engage with our fans whether it’s helping name a new menu item, showing them a behind-the-scenes look into our culinary innovation or just rewarding them for being rock star brand ambassadors,” said Bruce Schroder, President of Moe’s. “We wanted to take this engagement to the next level and there is no better way to do that than appoint our biggest taco fanatic to Chief Taco Officer and help spread the word about for our newest menu item.” Moe’s will choose three finalists and they will be announced on 7 May, before the public vote for a candidate.
Applications are open until 20 April, with exact details on how to apply available on Monster.com.
