Game of Thrones tourists head to Spain to see filming locations

As season five of the cult TV series Game of Thrones kicks off, one US tour company  has launched luxury trips to the programme’s new Spanish filming locations. Season five features Spanish destinations including Madrid, Cordoba, Seville and Granada. The Moorish architecture of Seville’s Alcazar will serve as a backdrop for the kingdom of Dorne, featured for the first time in series five, and Granada’s Alhambra palace was filmed as a setting for Daenerys Targaryen’s travels. The Andalucian town of Osuna and its Renaissance bullring also make an appearance, as the site of an epic battle in season five. Read more: thelocal.es
