Just hours after being cleaned, Seattle’s Gum Wall has attracted more sticky decoration.
The wall near Pike Place Market was cleaned for the first time in 20 years after officials decided it was time to strip the gum off the brick alleyway. The cleaning took 130 hours and removed over a ton of gum, but within hours a flash mob had come to reapply the flavorful stucco. By Monday morning, as Pike Place Market sent out a press release that the Gum Wall had been cleaned, a significant portion of the wall was again covered in gum. Read more: seattlepi.com
