Europe, Weird, Odd & Just Plain Fun
Two brothers from one of Paris’s famous banlieues have won the top of the iTunes charts in France while continuing to shun press interviews and record deals.
PNL, Peace and Lovés (slang for money in French), have gained a huge following since the beginning of this year by posting videos to Youtube and social media. But their video for their song, Le Monde Ou Rien, launched them to worldwide fame as it garnered them over 10m views. The music video shows the two brothers surrounded by young men in the infamous housing estate outside Naples, La Scampia, and back in their ownTarterêts estate in Corbeil-Essonnes.
NOS and Ademo last week got their first gig in the upscale Palais de Tokyo art museum at 3am for the launch of their album Le Monde Chico. But the two reclusive brothers continued to not want to talk to the press or sign record deals despite many offers.
The brothers are likely to have Maghreb, or North African heritage, and are fond of wearing designer clothes and Paris Saint Germain football t-shirts.
