A 3D adaptation of a Peking opera has premiered in Shanghai, marking the first time that the traditional Chinese performance art has been given the 3D treatment. The 3D version of the famous opera Farewell My Concubine allows viewers to get up close with the drama, feeling the sensation of the actors’ movements. Director Teng Junjie highlighted the moment when the hero throws a knife at the audience as being particularly thrilling. Read more: chinadaily.com.cn
