East Asia is gearing up for heavy travel days ahead of the lunar new year on 18 February. In China, millions of travellers are expected to clog up the rail and road networks during their annual journeys home for the holidays. Armed guards have been stationed at major stations and big attractions have been warned to keep visitor numbers in check.
