The Centers for Disease Control is encouraging travelers not to cancel their Hawaii vacations due to an outbreak of dengue fever in the archipelago.

Officials at the CDC say the number of cases on the Big Island is small when compared to other parts of the world. Only 13 tourists have contracted the disease, which is transmitted through mosquito bites, bringing the total number of reported cases up to 88. Fully 400 million case are reported every year around the world. There have been no reported deaths as a result of this year’s outbreak in Hawaii. Read more: travelmole.com
