Cute alert: Bei Bei the giant panda gets a checkup at the US National Zoo

One of the newest and cutest members of the National Zoo in the US got a check-up this week, which showed the cub is growing up healthy and strong.

Bei Bei the baby panda went to the vet, which was captured in a cute video by the Smithsonian National Zoo.

The vet checked out Bei Bei’s legs, feet and teeth, and weighed the cub. It turns out Bei Bei is a big baby at 8.3 pounds, weighing about a pound more than his older brother did at that same age, reports NBC.

The panda cub is getting a lot of exposure online with mother Mei Xiang, and can be watched via live webcam here.
