The large crocodile discovered last summer in an artificial lake on the Greek island of Crete has been found dead. The reptile was named Sifis by the locals from the seaside town of Rethymno and attracted a lot of attention from the tourists on the island. Although the cause of death is still to be determined, it’s most likely due to the low temperatures in Crete during February. Crocodiles are not native to Crete and it was believed that Sifis had been abandoned by his owner. Read more: news.sky.com
