The annual Corfu Carnival, which is on for the whole week, is set to celebrate the island’s Venetian tradition.
The Carnival dates back almost 450 years, as the custom was introduced by Venetian conquerors. The main events will include a big parade through Corfu Town, as well as a street theatre performance. The town will resemble baroque-period Venice, with people dressed up in 18th-century fashion.
