Combine music and wellness at this eco-friendly festival in Costa Rica

If you’ve made a resolution to be a bit healthier in 2018 – without skimping on the fun – this Costa Rica festival in the middle of an astounding natural setting could be for you.

Envision Festival is a four-day event focusing on music and wellness at the Rancho La Merced, Uvita. Mountains full of thriving rainforests, buzzing jungle and beaches where you can surf on the Pacific Ocean make this a particularly idyllic festival setting.

The organisers promise four days full of art, yoga and meditation classes, movement and spoken word performances, sustainable food, holistic treatments, craft fairs and talks from environmentalists, activists and astrologers.

There will also be four stages playing music throughout the event, including everything from techno, acoustic music and tribal tech and one stage will be completely dedicated to artists from Latin America. The festival is also family-friendly with a dedicated interactive kids zone.

The team behind the festival are also serious about their eco-friendly credentials. Previously, the grounds of the festival had been deforested. The festival founder has spent the last number of years using permaculture principles to regenerate the local ecosystem, resulting in animal returning to the nearby jungle.

If the festival itself isn’t enough for you, you can also avail of a number of tours and retreats both before and after the event, to either explore more of the country or to immerse yourself in a new skill.
