San Francisco puts on its most colourful costume this weekend as the city celebrates its 37th Carnaval. Acts from Central and South America and the Caribbean will perform, with events starting Friday, at the De Young Museum and continuing in the Mission on Saturday and Sunday. The highlight for many is the Grand Parade on Sunday at the end of which the King and Queen of Carnaval are crowned. Read more: carnavalsanfrancisco.org
