A project called ‘I write to you in Bosančica’ by the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia and Hercegovina (BiH) is trying to revive the ancient Bosančica script, a variant of Cyrillic which was used on the territory of present-day BiH in medieval times.

As part of the project, ancient handwritten documents were used in order to reconstruct the script characters. Students of art and design from BiH and neighbouring Croatia and Montenegro submitted artworks highlighting the script. Their work was exhibited in Sarajevo at the end of November, and in 2016 it will be featured in other countries in the region. The project was supported by the UN with the aim to promote cultural dialogue between different communities in BiH. Read more: calvertjournal.com
