Linking Dublin Airport to the city may come via a €1 billion Luas extension as it emerged this is now the frontrunner on a shortlist of six transport options.

The Herald reports that the Luas line option has become the “most likely” one at this stage.
The Irish government is currently waiting for a study on this issue to be completed at the end of March.
However, it will be late summer before it announces its preferred option.
