An exhibition of medieval torture devices will open at Belgrade’s Kalemegdan Fortress in mid-April. The exhibition will be organised together with Poland and it includes more than 60 life-size replicas of torture instruments used in the 16th and the 17th centuries. The exhibits come from private collections and European historians and will be displayed in the casemates of the Military Museum at the fortress. Descriptions of torture methods will also be exhibited.
