Today is the third Monday of January – or “Blue Monday” as it’s more commonly known, as it’s considered to be the most depressing day of the year. In a bid to cheer people up by providing a ray of travel inspiration sunshine, VisitEngland – in partnership with the tourism organisations of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and London – has teamed up with top travel influencers to create a hub of inspiring experiences that reflect 24 hours in the UK.
The group of international and British Instagrammers and bloggers travelled the length and breadth of the UK to enjoy a variety of unique experiences at every hour of the day, notching up 120 different experiences. These ranged from sipping quirky cocktails in a 1940s-inspired speakeasy in London, to coasteering in Scarborough and taking an exhilarating plane ride over the Pembrokeshire coast.
The videos will be released every hour on VisitBritain’s Facebook page, with followers encouraged to vote for their favourite “bucket list” moments from the 24-hour trips.
