Scientists have discovered 300-million-year-old tree trunks on a beach in Asturias, northern Spain. The fossils were discovered on Arnao beach and were revealed after the beach lost sand following recent storm surges. Photos shared on Twitter show tree trunks that have been fossilised into stone, as well as roots embedded into rocks. Read more: thelocal.es
