Two trainee pastors at Zion Church in Berlin’s Mitte district have come up with an Advent sermon with a difference: the 10am service on Sunday 20 December will be themed around Star Wars.

While the film’s relevance to Christmas may not be immediately obvious to many, Lucas Ludewig and Ulrike Garve say that the choice between good and evil is consistent in both the movie and the Bible. The pair tweeted, ‘We are holding a Star Wars worship service on the 4th Sunday of Advent in Berlin Mitte… #lovestrangersyoumust #starwars’. The service will be held just days after the premiere of the latest episode in the Star Wars series. Read more: thelocal.de
