At 3:42pm on Friday, NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko will launch into space on a record-breaking mission: the longest continuous duration a human has spent in space. The two experienced space fliers will spend a year at the International Space Station, and will be tested for the effects of microgravity over a long period. The mission hopes to gather useful information in preparation for future programmes into deep space. Read more: usatoday.com
