Home to the likes of lion, leopard, rhino, zebra, buffalo and wildebeest, Nairobi National Park is one of the only protected tracts of wilderness in a capital city. However, people are now reporting that animal populations are being forced away as new infrastructure and factories encroach on the park. Conservationists are currently fighting a planned bypass through the park, as well as a new railway line that may soon cross it. Read more: theguardian.com
